The results for Scandinavian Activity Contest 2009 is out, and SK3W finished at the top in the Multi/Multi Phone category. Operators were SA3V, SA3ARL, SG3P and SM5IMO.  In the CW leg it was a close race between SM2EKM, OH2U and SK3W finishing in that order after logs had been checked by the contest administrators. Conditions and experience was up compared to last year! But even Murphy was up.

We lost all power the last 1h17 of the contest! During Sunday the Wx went fromsunny to snow storm and we understood that the power outage would take a while to repair for the power company. Since Murphy also works on the power company, the power was restored 1 minute after the contest was finished! We probably lost 200 QSO’s and at least 10 multipliers.

Anyhow the contest was a great experience and we say a BIG THANK YOU to the Fernebo Contest Team, with the captain SM3SGP, for letting us operate from SK3W again.

Almost everything is up and running for the RDXC “battle”. SK3W will participate in the Multi Operator Two Transmitter category with operators SM5AJV SM5PHU and SM6LRR.

Murphy sneaked around for a while yesterday when one of our power supply went dead. But the spare one seems to work OK. This year we have a lot more antennas to work with. Station owner Gunnar SM3SGP and crew has done a fantastic work during the summer time putting up new antennas and repairing the old ones. Thanks Gunnar and Co!

SM6LRR is testing the propagation on the 20 meter operating position.

We will be participating in the Russian Dx Contest this weekend in Multi-Operator-Two-Transmitter. Operators will be SM5AJV, SM5PHU and SM6LRR.  The improved band conditions will be very exciting and we will aim for a much better score than last year. CU in Contest!

We improved our result from last year, and are getting closer to the Swedish Record. Propagation was very similar to last year. No hardware failures except for one laptop.
